Who is better known in our community as “Soso”, was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She has spent the past 7 years of her life as a professional photographer.

Aside from photography, she is a very creative individual expressing her art through poetry.

In addition she is a small business owner operating as a licensed esthetician.

Soso is committed to Purity Foundation because of her personal experiences with breast cancer. Losing both her grandmother and her mother to breast cancer, Soso has made it her mission to give back to those who have had similar tragedy as her own.

Chief financial officer, SHAWNA lagway

Shawna was born in Los Angeles, Ca. She is a mother to 3 amazing boys, who are teaching her a lot about life. She believes that family is very important.

One good quality that she values about herself is how honest and trustworthy she is. Shawna’s devotion to Purity Foundation comes from losing her grandmother and her aunt due to breast cancer. She feels that providing financial assistance to families instead of research can be of a greater good.

Grant Writing Director, ALICIA SISNEY

Alicia Sisney-Copeland was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi but raised in Los Angeles, California since age 11. For the last 4 years she’s worked with children with special (different) needs.

She’s a wife, mother of four, as well as a baker and business owner. Her passion for writing and helping others has led her to Purity Foundation.

Alicia feels connected to our mission personally because she’s been on the other side of it, as she lost her grandmother to breast cancer. As someone who has experienced this kind of loss, she is committed to being of help to those experiencing the same.
